Railway officers from the South Coast Railway (SCoR) in Vijayawada conducted a Digital Life Certificate (DLC) camp on November 5, 2026, to help pensioners and family pensioners submit DLCs and access pension-related services. The event was held at the railway auditorium and included a health camp with medical tests.
Officials issued DLCs to 156 individuals and provided guidance on the process. Medical staff from the railway department also conducted blood sugar, BP, and ECG tests. Divisional and senior medical officers were present at the event.
A similar DLC camp was held in Rajahmundry on Wednesday, with certificates issued to pensioners there. The Vijayawada event is part of a broader effort to assist pensioners across the region.
Why it matters
The DLC camps help pensioners submit required documentation for pension services, while the health checks provide immediate medical assessments for an aging population.
